SAFLOK® SRS™ Awarded Home Safety Council Commendation Award

Troy, MI - Saturday, April 01, 2006 - The SAFLOK Residential Series (SRS™) line of electronic locks has been awarded the Home Safety Council Commendation Award for Product Innovation for Consumer Safety.

The competition was established in 2004 to recognize manufacturers’ outstanding contributions for product innovations that enhance consumer safety. Nominations are reviewed by a diverse and independent advisory committee comprising of national leaders from the public health, fire and life safety, and key injury prevention areas.

The SRS series has been designed to cater to the unique needs of multi-family residential communities that view safety as an “in-demand” amenity. The lock with its ability to track usage history has on many occasions been instrumental in deterring theft and vandalism. The SAFLOK submission narrative included several recounts by property managers that have the locks installed on their property.

Roger Carlson, SAFLOK president stated, “The recognition that accompanies this honor clearly reinforces the fact that SAFLOK is on the right track in its number one product objective of creating solutions that ensure safety and enhance property security.

“The company is proud to see that its commitment to advancing technology and utilizing its R&D resources has been instrumental in improving the quality of residential living,” he continued.

Since the launch of the SRS series, SAFLOK has continued to redefine product innovation. The result of its efforts is the new InSync™ lock line, which communicates via a radio frequency platform.

“The SRS line provided a stable platform for the evolution of electronic lock systems for residential applications and the InSync series is the product of its evolved technology,” says Dale Mathias, vice president of sales – multihousing, institutional and government.

SAFLOK is a recipient of the Home Safety Council's Commendation Award for Product Innovation for Consumer Safety for the SAFLOK Residential Series (SRS™) line of electronic locks. Use of the Commendation Seal next to the product indicates that the Council has evaluated the SRS electronic lock based upon information furnished by the manufacturer and believes the product demonstrates an innovative use of safety features. The Council does not test or endorse any products.
