SAFLOK Introduces Enhanced Sales
Strategy at NAA 2007
Las Vegas, Nev. – June 2007 – The SAFLOK
Multihousing division today officially announced its enhanced sales
channel strategy. This announcement is made in conjunction with the
company’s exhibit at the National Apartment Association (NAA) 2007 trade
show.
SAFLOK has launched its new strategy as a result of its acquisition by
Kaba Holding AG on September 29, 2006. As part of the acquisition, the
SAFLOK Multihousing division reports to Kaba Access Americas, which is
headquartered in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The new strategy involves expanding the company’s current sales channel
beyond direct selling. “SAFLOK will combine our already successful sales
model with a proven group of manufacturers’ representatives,” says Dale
Mathias, SAFLOK Vice President of Sales – Multihousing & Institutional.
The company will work with an existing roster of representatives who are
both access control experts, and tried and tested Kaba brand product
representatives. “SAFLOK’s team of area sales managers will maintain
direct field contact and provide continued support to the manufacturer’s
representatives within their respective territories,” Mathias adds.
These new distribution channels will make the SAFLOK products available
for a wider spectrum of projects and scope. They will also improve upon
SAFLOK’s well-established system that already provides customers with
unparalleled after-sales service and support excellence. The existing
Kaba distribution channels will provide an expanded number of outlets
for SAFLOK products and service support. The company also expects that
this model will enhance bi-directional communication to and from the
customer; allowing for more effective market feedback and voice-of-the
customer responses.
According to Michael Kincaid, Kaba Access Americas General Manager, “The
decision to proceed with this strategy was greatly influenced by the
added value that it would bring to our customers who will now have
access to a significantly increased range of Kaba and SAFLOK products
and services. ”
SAFLOK offers a complete electronic lock line developed specifically for
the multihousing, residential, and commercial markets. The InSync™
series is operated using the Window-based Security Access Manager (SAM®)
RF program and includes InSync M (mortise), InSync D (dead bolt), InSync
I (interconnect), InSync L (latch), and InSync C (common area) locks.
A series of specially tailored training sessions has been held
throughout North America to bring the representatives up to speed on the
latest SAFLOK product line. Approximately 40 representatives have
attended eight training sessions.
Mathias concludes, “The newly appointed representatives bring with them
an unparalleled amount of product knowledge and expertise. Their market
savvy and knowledge base will enhance the value of SAFLOK’s existing
product line and we are proud to be working together with such a skilled
group of individuals.”
