SAFLOK® Launches DeskLinc

Las Vegas, NV - March, 2006 - With the launch of DeskLinc™, SAFLOK® has again benchmarked a new standard in life safety and access control for the hospitality industry.

For a fraction of the cost, DeskLinc is designed to offer the flexibility and function of a large-property front desk system. It is the only multi-technology system to offer smart/memory card capability as a standard feature at no up-charge.

Using smart/memory card technology DeskLinc “converts” the employee’s keycard into a device that stores/carries and downloads information from the lock. It enables lock audit information, staff access as well as lock error codes, to be tagged onto the smart cards. Locks may also be interrogated and programmed with special smart cards so users no longer have to load and take a special device to the lock to accomplish this task.

This greatly reduces the liability and expense of having to specifically visit each individual lock to retrieve an audit trail. However when necessary, DeskLinc can download lock diagnostics at the door.

DeskLinc features an enlarged backlit screen. It also features an extended sign-on function that allows users to remain logged in for extended periods. The system is capable of providing up to 11 independent keying levels that also includes a latch/unlatch and an emergency/security level.
